Prizeology renews ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accreditation

Prizeology renews ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accreditation

We do things properly at Prizeology. We don’t cut corners. We care about our clients. We comply with all relevant regulations. If you deal with Prizeology, you can be confident that you’re dealing with a company that has integrity – but you don’t have to take my word for that.

You really don’t. You can take the word of the esteemed International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) instead. That’s because Prizeology has recently renewed its ISO 9001 accreditation. ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems. It was originally introduced back in the late 1980s and it has been awarded to well over a million organisations around the world since then, so Prizeology is in good company.

Dial ISO 9001 for management

I won’t go into a lot of detail, although if you do want to know more about our experience of achieving and renewing the accreditation then please ask me. However, the standard is based around seven principles of good management: leadership, evidence-based decision-making, engagement with people, approach to processes, and customer focus, relationship management and continuous improvement.

These areas are largely self-explanatory, but I just want to draw attention to a couple of them that I think are particularly important and which really highlight the type of company Prizeology is. Customer focus is obviously vital because companies, including Prizeology, depend on their clients and so need to understand what their clients want, now and in the future, and must strive to exceed their clients’ expectations.

Similarly, relationship management is also vital, because companies, again, including Prizeology, and their suppliers, contractors and service providers, depend on each other and a mutually beneficial relationship enhances the ability of all parties to create value.

ISO 9001 accreditation is proof that Prizeology puts customer focus and relationship management, as well as the other five areas, front and centre in everything we do, but in addition to ISO 9001, we have recently renewed our ISO 270001 accreditation as well.

Dial ISO 27001 for data

As you will have guessed, ISO 27001 is another International Organisation for Standardisation standard, but this time it specifically concerns data. As you can imagine, because we run promotions, at Prizeology we handle an awful lot of data, entrusted to us by the thousands – no, millions – of people who enter our promotions.

We are extremely careful about where we keep that data, how we use it and, when the time comes, how we dispose of it. In line with how seriously we take promotional fraud, we have appropriate protocols in place and we don’t treat information security as a one-off; we assess the risks and review it regularly. We can say this, because we have the ISO 27701 accreditation.

Gaining each of these accreditations in the first place is quite challenging and renewing them is quite challenging too – it’s certainly not a routine rubber-stamping exercise. However, Prizeology isn’t a massive company and we are well aware that if all we did was lounge around telling ourselves how marvellous we are, it would be like sitting in an echo chamber, so we find it’s really helpful to have our processes and procedures externally verified.

If you work with Prizeology I believe you can feel the quality, but accreditation enables you to see it too. Achieving accreditation keeps us on our toes and gives our clients the confidence that we are as good as we say we are.

If you’d like Prizeology to run a quality-assured and data-secure prize promotion for you, give us a call on 020 7856 0402 or email us via hello@prizeology.com
